TVA board signs off on green energy push, nuclear plants, and fluctuating rates

Eventually, that will include replacing some coal-fired power plants, which while generally dirtier than other power sources, are also relatively dirt-cheap. The board also voted to allow the company to charge higher wholesale rates during peak usage times, in an effort to get people to cut back consumption during peak times. That change is scheduled to take place in April. feeds.bizjournals.com |
